Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The short version: the text you type or paste into Word Tools is processed only in your browser. It is never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
Your text
Every tool on Word Tools runs as JavaScript on your own device. When you convert case, count words or format JSON, the work happens inside your browser tab. Your text is not uploaded, logged, analyzed or shared, and we have no way to see it. You can check this yourself: once a page has loaded, the tools keep working with your internet connection turned off.
What is stored on your device
To make the tools convenient, your browser keeps a few things in its local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us:
- The last text you entered in each tool, so it is still there if you reload the page. Press Clear in the tool to delete it.
- Your theme choice (light or dark), if you changed it.
You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
What our hosting provider sees
Word Tools is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives the technical data needed to deliver a page: your IP address, the address of the page you requested, your browser’s user agent and the time of the request. This data is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and is handled under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. It never contains the text you enter into a tool.
Analytics and advertising
Word Tools uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which tools people use, so we know what to improve. Google receives the page address, the referring page, your browser, device and approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not store), and anonymous actions such as “Copy pressed in the Case Converter”. Your text is never part of this data. Ad features and Google signals are off.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland Google Analytics runs without cookies and without an identifier for you, because we do not yet ask for consent. Google only receives anonymous counts.
- Elsewhere it sets the first-party cookies listed in the Cookie Policy. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.
Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. Word Tools does not show ads yet. Before we add them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the tools, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about your data, or want to exercise your rights under the GDPR or a similar law, write to office@artweb.space.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
